    UNN FIRST YEAR STUDENT'S COMPULSORY LAPTOP ACQUISITION CAUSES PROBLEMS, SUG TRIES TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE.


    University of Nigeria, Nsukka in it’s bid to industrialize the school with ICT introduced a mandatory policy, where all students must own a laptop and pay N70,000 as laptop fee. But many students are unhappy that such levies have been imposed on them.
    Students said that this new policy is making education so difficult for the poor, as with this policy, many students would now be paying a huge sum as tuition fee in the federal university as compared to private universities per session.
    In an interview with the SUG of UNN, we were informed that they had discussed with the school's administration for the laptop ownership being a choice and not mandatory.
