    FORMER HOD OF DRAMATIC ARTS OF OAU FOUND DEAD AFTER A GHASTLY MOTOR ACCIDENT.


    Head of Department (HoD) of Dramatic Arts of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Professor (Mrs) Foluke Ogunleye, died in a ghastly motor accident.
    It was gathered that the accident occurred on Sunday when the lecturer was coming from Ibadan to Lagos.
    The Public Relations Officer of the university, Mr. Abiodun Olanrewaju, who confirmed the incident said the late Ogunleye hailed from Ipetumodu in Osun State and elder sister to Mr Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari.
    Daily Sun gathered that Ogunleye headed the Department of Dramatic Arts of the university from 2006 to 2009.
    Ogunleye, who was reputed for writing the plays: “Nest in a Cage” and “Jabulilee” delivered her inaugural lecture early last year, about three decades after Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, delivered his in the department.
    Until her demise, she was also the Executive Director, Ife International Film Festival of OAU.
