UNIABUJA DECLARES WAR AGAINST EXAM MALPRACTICE.

Vice Chancellor of the University of Abuja, Professor Michael U. Adikwu, has said that the university has zero-tolerance for examination malpractice and so students should work hard to earn their certificates. Prof. Adikwu stated this at the matriculation of over 2,500 fresh students of the 2015/2016 session of the distance learning programme.

He said there is no segment of the institution that would be spared in the continued effort to raise the standard of academic performance through constant mentoring and monitoring of students.

Professor Adikwu who was represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academics, Professor Adegboyega Kolawole, said by the status of distance learning students, it was expected that they would have formed a high moral attitude which should reflect on their approach to their studies.

The vice chancellor assured the students that the management had learnt from the mistakes experienced in the past which had led to the ban placed on the programme by the National Universities Commission (NUC), saying the ban was lifted early in the year.
