Its so striking and alarming that even students and Non-Hostellers are not allowed to enter the hostels to visit or do any private issues they want to accomplish with their close pals or either course-mates who are hostellers.
According to NOMEKS; which is the body in charge of the activity and welfare of the student hostels made it clear that hostellers should go about with their hostel receipts so that it would serve as their pass into their hostels; because the hostel security agents are being noticed at the hostel gate both male and female from morning to night.
Students who live in the hostels are not in support of this idea because some of them wouldn't want to keep going about with their hostel reciept to avoid getting it misplaced and also it makes them feel they are in secondary schools where visitors are not allowed to visit.
The students agitates for this mode to be stopped because they feel NOMEKS is indeed going beyond its limit, they don't see reasons why their friends won't be allowed into their rooms just because they are not hostellers.
Sagefour Representatives had a discussion with a male and female who lived in the hostels on what they felt about the situation and all they could say was that "NOMEKS would get tired of all these and it won't stop them from inviting their friends over; that instead let the worst happen".
