Chancellor of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Professor Ganiyu Olatunde has commended the decision of the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities to call off its four weeks strike in the interest of the country.
He noted that the resumption will bring life back into the University system and appeals to other unions on strike to emulate the gesture of ASUU.
He also appealed to the federal government to implement some of the agreements reached with the unions in order to restore lasting peace into the nation’s university system.
