On Wednesday 16th of September, Bingham University received the first
horror of the new semester when about 20 robbers armed with guns and
various weapons forced their way into the girls hostel of the school
particularly the medical hostel and began robbing students of phones,
laptops and other gadgets and accessories. Even going as far as nearly
raping a student.
A student who begged not to be named said she considers it to be an
"inside job" because the robbers knew who to meet to rob from. She
also said that the female potters were beaten and then locked up and
that female students were also beaten.
Another student begging for anonymity said that couple students and
potters were beaten and a security guard/male potter was shot.
This no doubt would have caused an uproar amongst the students and
maybe some parents. It will be interesting to see how Bingham bounces back from this.
