Following the severe protest by the students of UNN, The University management asked students to vacate their hostels before the next 24 hours, and that this would last for the next two weeks. A source said that the reason for the ultimatum is the safety of the students. How sensible is all this, the protest, the ultimatum for vacation?
The whole riot started late last week at the Enugu campus University of Nigeria (UNEC) because of the lack of power and water supply that has lasted for like 3 weeks. Yesterday, June 1st 2015, the students of the UNN Nsukka campus exhibited their show of disapproval by engaging in their own version of the riot. The VC ordered that students vacate the school before the next 24 hours. He ordered a two weeks compulsory break. Please lets hope this ends in just two weeks.
