    Public introduction of Roar Nigeria



    Located at the Nsukka campus of the University of Nigeria, Roar Nigeria Hub is a private sector driven initiative by two engineering graduates of the university, (Charles Emembolu and Okechi Igwebuike).

    The Hub is on a mission to produce the next generation of entrepreneurs by providing an enabling environment, support systems and relevant skills to succeed with technology entrepreneurship, across the South East region while impacting the IT ecosystem in Nigeria.

    Doors to the Hub opened late 2016 with the first pitching event held on January 26th, 2017 titled Tech&UNN. At the event, Professor Benjamin Chukwuma Ozumba, vice chancellor, shared his dream of creating an Ecosystem that will fuel unprecedented technology growth in Africa.



    The official hub launch was held on February 6th, 2017 which coincided with a Pitchaton by teams from the school community and hosted by the Vice Chancellor.

    The public introduction of Roar Nigeria is scheduled to hold on April 26th, 2017 at the Princess Alexandria Auditorium in University of Nigeria Nsukka campus.
    The special guests for the introduction include :



    Emeka leads Facebook’s Product Partnership efforts in the Middle East and Africa focused on driving Facebook strategy through global programs and strategic product integrations with partners. Prior to Facebook, Emeka led Google developer community initiatives in Sub-Saharan Africa as part of the Africa and Middle East Developer Relations team. He started his career as a software engineer at Socketworks and also spearheaded strategic initiatives at Parkway Projects both in Nigeria.



    Uche Aniche is the founder of Havilah & Hills a Port Harcourt based Web Development and Marketing Communications strategy- a serial Entrepreneur with background in Marketing Communication and Web Development.



    Aniedi Udo-Obong is the Developer Ecosystem Program Manager, Sub-Saharan Africa, Google.
    He coordinates and manages scalable developer outreach and support programs, including the Google Developer Groups program, across the Sub-Saharan Africa region.
