Members of the University of Benin Alumni Association (UBAA), Lagos Branch, have felicitated immediate past governor of Lagos State and Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) on his recent appointment, stressing that it was as a result of the confidence that President Muhammadu Buhari and indeed the entire Nigerians have in him.
A letter signed by chairman and secretary of the branch, Emmanuel Oriazuwa, Esq and Mr. Stephen Onojomete respectively entitled, "Letter Of Congratulations on Your Appointment as Honourable Minister Of Power, Works And Housing, read inter alia, "On behalf of the entire members of the University of Benin Alumni Association (UBAA), Lagos Branch, we hereby congratulate you on your appointment as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who has been trusted with the Ministry of Power, Works and Housing.
"This unique assignment glaringly shows the confidence that President Muhammadu Buhari, and the people of this country have in your ability and capacity to perform, as exemplified by your excellent performance during your tenure as the Executive Governor of Lagos State," the letter addressed to the minister stated.
"As an alumnus of the University of Benin (UNIBEN), the University of Benin Alumni Association Worldwide in general and the Lagos Branch of which you are a member in particular, is proud of your meritorious rise, which has distinguished you as a worthy ambassador of our alma mater and the country in general," it continued.
